Boys' soccer team gets well wishes, signs autographs before state tournament

The Hilton Cadet soccer team received the royal treatment as they visited every Hilton school the day before heading to the state tournament in Middletown on Nov. 13 to compete in the semifinals vs. Walt Whitman on Nov. 14. Students around the district cheered them on and the athletes took the time to sign autographs and even gave a demonstration of their amazing soccer skills to the students at Quest Elementary School.

The last time the Hilton team went to states was 28 years ago. This year's team was headed by first-time coach Michael Ellicott. While the team ended up losing to Walt Whitman 7-3, the community rallied around the team showing them support and encouragement throughout the season.
