Quest students celebrate
an authentic Thanksgiving

More photos

A trip to the creek behind Quest Elementary School on Nov. 18 for the annual Quest Feast was like traveling back to the 1600s. The unusually warm and sunny day was the perfect backdrop for discovering what life was like back then for the Pilgrims and Native Americans. Displays included the Iroquois government, maple syrup production, animal traps, Pilgrim language, American Indian food, wigwams, weather, hunting and fishing, and games.

The event, involving all students in the school, culminates with an authentic Thanksgiving dinner served in the cafeteria and gymnasium. Parents volunteer to help serve.
