Hilton 2014 graduate takes home bronze at Panamerican Junior Championships

Hilton 2014 graduate Tyler Ranke took third in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:16.44 and brought home the bronze medal for the U.S. at the Panamerican Junior Athletics Championships in Edmonton, Alberta on Aug. 2.

First held in 1980, the biennial track and field championships give athletes from across North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean Islands the opportunity to compete against some of the best athletes in the world and have produced medalists such as Carl Lewis and Jackie Joyner-Kersee.

Ranke earned three All America titles and a state championship while representing the Hilton Cadets. He currently attends the University at Albany.
