Twenty-five cent book sale benefits HCSTA Scholarship Fund
It takes a lot of quarters and a lot of books to raise $700,
but that's just what the Annual .25 Used Book Sale does
every year. The funds go toward the Hilton Central School
Teachers' Association Scholarship Fund.
Books are donated by familes throughout the district all
year long and then a two-day sale is held at Northwood
Elementary School. "Traditionally we make around
$700," said Julie Rapp, Northwood
library media specialist who
organizes the sale. "We sold over 1,600 books
yesterday - that's a lot of quarters!"
