Northwood classes help young patients become superheroes

Two fifth-grade classes at Northwood Elementary School in Hilton are learning about the importance of connecting with communities outside of their own, and developing understanding and empathy for all types of people with differing needs.   - read more -

CAPITAL PROJECT PASSES 344 YES, 100 NO - Thank you, voters!Hilton School District residents approved a $32,250,000 capital project proposal by a vote of 344 in favor and 100 against at a public vote on Dec. 15. The project will have no impact on local property taxes. Included in the project is work to all of the districtís school buildings with a focus on safety and security, in addition to work identified in the NYS mandated building condition survey.   - read more -

Northwood Elementary raises $4,803.75 for American Heart Association  Northwood Elementary School students and families raises a total of $4,803.75 for the American Heart Association during the annual Jump Rope for Heart event.   - read more -

Community Education Winter/Spring 2017 brochure now available  The Winter/Spring 2017 Community Education brochure is available online and will be mailed to homes soon. The brochure offers over 20 new courses, including Cyber Security, Blueprint for Financial Success, Gardening for Birds, Getting Clean from Sugar Addiction, and many more. - read more -

Hilton Alumni Holiday Concert - Dec. 22  The Annual Hilton Alumni Holiday Concert will be held on Thursday, Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. in the Hilton High School auditorium. All Hilton Band Alumni are invited to perform Sleigh Ride with the Hilton High School Wind Ensemble.  -read more -

Students from Nepal visit Northwood Elementary School   Sixth grade students at Northwood Elementary School in Hilton had a firsthand opportunity to hear what life is like in Nepal, a landlocked Himalayan country is South Asia. Dipendra Bharati, now an eighth grader at McQuaid Jesuit High School, came to the U.S. in 2009. Manisha Giri, an eighth grader at Nativity Preparatory Academy in Rochester, arrived in the U.S. in 2012.   - read more -

Hilton CSD Sports Hall of Fame Induction - Dec. 28  Hilton High School Sports Hall of Fame will induct eight outstanding athletes on Wednesday, Dec. 28 at Hilton High School. They will be recognized for their achievements at Hilton High School and at the college level.   - read more -

Registration for Winter/Spring 2017 Driver Education now open Registration for Winter/Spring 2017 Driver Education is now open. Classes begin Wednesday, February 1 and are held on Mondays and Wednesdays through April 5 with the exception of Feb. 20, 22 and April 3.  - read more -
